trixbox Project | The University of Akron - Current Topics: CIS Spring 2010
This is a video of our group, Mark Bielech, Matt Corban and Don Willoughby, demonstrating our trixbox open-source private branch exchange (PBX) system was fully operational and that all the project objectives were completed for the Current Topics: Computer Information Systems (CIS) capstone course at the University of Akron under the instruction of Professor Debra Keller. Some of the objectives we accomplished were: •Install and configure a basic setup of the trixbox operating system •Setup and configure basic IP settings and DHCP server •Setup basic SIP extensions and IP Hardphones •Configure an analog telephone adapter (ATA) •Create a wireless network and setup iPhone/iPod Touch extensions •Setup on hold music •Setup a wake-up call feature •Setup ring groups •Setup interactive voice response menu (IVR) •Update trixbox via command line •Hardening and securing trixbox
